Section of Logic and Cognitive Science has been established at the Institute of Psychology in 2005.

Our main areas of research cover the logic of questions, epistemic logic and proof theory. We are working on formal modelling of human cognitive activities, in particular on problem-solving, scientific explanations and abduction.

Our Section is responsible for the management of the M.A. programme in Cognitive Science, run (for the first time in Poland) from the academic year 2005-2006 on.
